Tried and tested. Found to be pure as Gold.
Throughout the years, Deacon Kevin has steadily exemplified his unyielding faith in God. Whether he overcame the struggle of losing his job or treading water for an extended period of time to survive or fighting to live through illness, his faith remains unshaken. Right there with him has been God’s anointed, Apostle Anthonee.
During a family reunion, Deacon Kevin withstood what would have been a tragic and horrific burning sustained to the lay man, but God honored Deacon Kevin’s faith. Boiling grease, ready for fried chicken, was accidentally toppled over and poured over his forearm and hand. Immediately, the name of Jesus rang out around the room! Glory to God, there was no burn or residual effects.
“I felt the heat, but it went over like it was cold water,” Deacon Kevin proclaimed. All the Deacon needed to hear from the Man of God was, “it’s alright…it’ll be alright.” He took him at his word and carried on knowing that God would maintain their covenant and honor his faith. He could see Apostle Anthonee and his wife, Sister Adrienne were calm, so he knew that everything would be okay. And indeed, it was.
On a family trip to Lake Conroe, Deacon Kevin, was thrown off the boat without a life jacket and floated aimlessly in rough waters. After a failed attempt to swim back to the boat, the boat appeared to float further and further away. In a desperate attempt to save their father, his sons jumped in after him; however, in Deacon Kevin’s words, “I just believed that the Lord wouldn’t let me drown…it would’ve been me and all my boys.” The Lord brought them back to safety, unscathed.
In 2017, when Deacon Kevin experienced a horrific brush with death from an illness, he wasn’t aware if death took him or whether his unyielding faith tethered him to life. In order to save his life, one of his vital numbers had to climb to a certain level. He cried out to the Lord. His wife prayed. His daughter joined in prayer. Needless to say, God answered immediately! He’s still living today, praising God, serving God, believing God.
God has thrown many tests and trials at his feet. Deacon Kevin continuously kicks trouble out of his way with the strength he finds in knowing and believing in the power of God.
